ECHO Rangers
The ECHO Rangers stop at OMAM allows kiddos to explore both art and nature at the same time! Join us on January 24th in the OMAM classroom where the Rangers will explore oil pastels and the technique of frottage, as we create our own leaf rubbings from clippings from our OMAM gardens! The technique of frottage began in 1925 by a German Surrealist and Dada artist named Max Ernst. The word frottage comes from the French word for rubbing, which is exactly how the ECHO Rangers will create colorful pastel rubbing techniques!
This hands-on, educational 10-month program showcases many of Volusia County's Ecological, Cultural, Heritage and Outdoor treasures. The program is open to children in grades 1-5 (as of August 2025), and registration is handled through the County. For more info, contact Lisa Perez at 386-668-3840 or lperez@volusia.org.
