Art Programs & Classes For Veterans

Since being founded in 1946, the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens has had a special bond with veterans. Artist Malcolm Fraser, a decorated World War I veteran, offered a collection of his life's work to any town along the east coast. Ormond Beach residents rose to the occasion and worked together to create the Ormond War Memorial Art Gallery as a living monument to creative freedom. Returning servicemen from World War II volunteered their time to help build the museum's galleries and clear the land for the spectacular gardens.
