CALL TO ARTISTS
Art Walk Pop-Up Solo Exhibitions
Emerging artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work at Ormond Memorial Art Museum as part of a three-day pop-up show held in conjunction with the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk. Typically, artwork is displayed on easels in the Reception Gallery, and is setup the day before the Art Walk (preferably at 10am Friday) and remains up the day after the event (with pickup at 3:30pm that Sunday). The exhibiting artist should be present at the museum during the Art Walk (3-7pm). The artist may sell their work (commission-free), and there is no charge to participate. Interested artists should complete this online form. Please submit up to 10 pieces for consideration. OMAM will select up to 10 pieces. Please also write a thoughtful artist statement for the collection of work you are submitting, or write individual artist statements for each piece submitted, as this is a part of the selection process. Incomplete entries will not be reviewed.
Call for Teaching Artists
The Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens collaborates with dedicated artists and educators to provide creative learning opportunities for the community. We’re excited to continue expanding our education programs, and invite instructors interested in teaching youth and/or adults to submit a proposal. All media will be considered, and classes may draw on any art-related, garden-related, or creative theme.
In addition to hands-on art classes, we are also looking for instructors interested in leading casual discussions on various art-related and garden-related topics, and instructors interested in teaching in a digital format. Please contact Kristin Heron at KHeron@ormondartmuseum.org to submit your ideas.
