Public Art Sculpture - Gulf War Tribute
The Ormond Memorial Art Museum seeks proposals from professional artists and sculptors to design, permit, fabricate, and install a permanent public art sculpture honoring Gulf War veterans, specifically those who served during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. This project will result in a signature commemorative work at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens, 78 East Granada Boulevard, that reflects the courage, precision, unity, and national pride demonstrated during the Gulf War. The sculpture is intended to serve as both a place of reflection and a compelling visual landmark that educates and inspires visitors for generations to come.
Proposal Submission Deadline: Aug. 31, 2026.
The selected artist(s) will be responsible for the full development and execution of the Gulf War Tribute Sculpture, including but not limited to the following:
- Concept Development & Design
- Project Management & Coordination
- Materials & Fabrication
- Site Integration & Installation
- Documentation & Maintenance Guidance
Proposal entries must be submitted through CaFÉ.

Art Walk Pop-Up Solo Exhibitions
Emerging and established artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work at Ormond Memorial Art Museum as part of a curated three-day pop-up show held in conjunction with the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk. Typically, artwork is displayed on easels in the Reception Gallery, and is setup the day before the Art Walk (preferably at 10am Friday) and remains up the day after the event (with pickup at 3:30pm that Sunday). The exhibiting artist should be present at the museum during the Art Walk (3-7pm). The artist may sell their work (commission-free), and there is no charge to participate. Interested artists should complete this online form. Please submit up to 10 pieces for consideration. OMAM will select up to 10 pieces. Please also write a thoughtful artist statement for the collection of work you are submitting, or write individual artist statements for each piece submitted, as this is a part of the selection process. Incomplete entries will not be reviewed.
Pop-Up submissions will be open through August 2026. Entries will be reviewed starting in September 2026.
