First Saturday Ormond Art Walk: Amy Discepolo Pop-Up
Make OMAM one of your stops during the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk to meet our featured pop-up artist Amy Discepolo and see her work on display in our Reception Gallery. Be sure to arrive by 5:00pm to hear her talk.
"I am drawn to expressing time and place as nostalgia for castaway, distant or looming moments, for hidden terrains -- and for those sometimes seemingly mundane intervals where we can become larger than life. I believe those numinous flashes of recognition connect us to each other and beyond. They are 360 events, when we can see in all directions at once, just like deja vus."
Plus, we'll have a light selection of wine and beer for sale on the first floor. Admission is FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all Art Walk stops!
Amy Discepolo was born in NYC, has lived abroad, speaks a few languages, and has loved art from the beginning- especially abstract expressionism. She went into mental health counseling and uses therapeutic art along with other integrative techniques to help clients. Her own art making has healed many things in her life. She has sold pieces in South Florida at Art Basel and in other venues, had a solo exhibition at the Jacksonville International Airport a few years back, and has returned to painting every day for good!
