Three-Hour Summer Art Adventures for Kids
Join OMAM for a summer of fun at "Imagination Vacation" day-camps for ages 7-11.
Sign up for one or multiple of these unique art adventures outlined below. Each session meets between 9am-noon. Drop-off and pick-up is at St. James (a map will be sent to registrants).
Space is very limited to 12 campers per session, so don’t wait to register! Cost per camp session is $27.50 for OMAM members, or for $35 future members. Open to children ages 7 through 11.

Wednesday, July 7
Flowers, Frida, & Fun
9a-12p Wednesday, July 7
Take an Imagination Vacation back in time to meet artist Frida Kahlo! Campers will learn about Frida’s life and art, create an accessory to wear inspired by Frida, and make a painting in the style of this colorful artist. Before leaving camp, be sure to snap a photo in “Frida’s Flower Photobooth” in the museum gardens! Camp led by Kristin Heron, Michelle Davidson, Amber Green.
Thursday, July 15
Mermaid Party (SOLD OUT)

Take an Imagination Vacation under the sea! Start the day by learning your “Mermaid Name”, and then join fellow campers in creating art projects inspired by the ocean, including a beach bag and a variety of sparkling mermaid accessories to wear. Finish the day with a photoshoot with Mermaid Traci in our “Sea Sparkles Photobooth”! Leave camp with new friends, fun memories, and a beach bag filled with ocean treasures! Pirate Treasure & Mystery

Take an Imagination Vacation into a world of mystery and treasure! Dress as your favorite pirate on this fun day of camp and help fellow campers search for hidden treasure in the museum gardens. Follow the clues to unearth a mysterious surprise, and then get creative while designing your own puzzle, making a secret decoder, and pirate -inspired art projects. Arrr! A Honeybee’s Life

Take an Imagination Vacation into the world of a honey bee! Have you ever wondered how bees make honey? What do bees do for plants and why are bees important to the food we eat? Meet Beekeeper Diane Spoden and find out what it’s like to be a bee for a day! Then, join Garden Artisan Janett Taylor in the museum gardens to plant a container garden all your own to bring home, filled with flowers that bees and butterflies love! Camp led by Kristin Heron, Michelle Davidson, and Amber Green.
OMAM Summer Camp Covid Protocols:
- Masks are required for campers and unvaccinated teachers indoors.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Camper temperature will be checked upon arrival
- Seating will be arranged to promote social distancing during camp.
- Workshops will be limited to 12 students.
- Classrooms will be cleaned and sanitized prior to camp.
- Please bring your own water bottle and snack. Water fountain and snack will not be provided.
- Please keep your camper home if they are sick and call the Museum if your camper is not able to attend.
