First Saturday Ormond Art Walk: Janessa Douds Pop-Up
Make OMAM one of your stops during the First Saturday Ormond Art Walk to meet our featured pop-up artist, Janessa Douds, and see her paintings on display in our Reception Gallery. At 5:00pm, the artist will give a talk about her work.
“In my paintings, I explore theories of home and the phenomenology of space. I am fascinated by the way our perceptions shape the spaces we call home and how these spaces, in turn, shape our experiences. In this talk, I will share the importance of light, shadow, and color in my work and how they transform the familiarity of my childhood home into the unfamiliar, questioning the threshold between reality and imagination.”
Art Walk admission is FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all Art Walk stops! Plus, we'll have a light selection of wine and beer for sale on the first floor.
