  of the year – with beautiful\, unique felted lights in this introduction 
 to illuminated felt. Winter solstice lights symbolize the return of longer
 \, sunnier days and the turning of the seasons after the longest night of 
 the year. Using the resist method of wet felting\, wool\, viscose\, bamboo
  and tussah silk you will create your one-of-a-kind solstice light. Class 
 tuition includes all felting materials\, but students should bring one bat
 h towel and two hand towels. A list of lamp base options will be provided 
 and some will be available for sale during the workshop. If students own a
  light base they’d like to use\, please bring it. This workshop is appropr
 iate for all levels of experience. What is a resist? It is a waterproof ba
 rrier between layers of wool used to create 3D shapes from a flat pattern.
  Learn how to layout a piece on a flat resist and properly full it so that
