 dow\, that is created by drawing in perspective. Perspective is an inventi
 on of the 15th Century Renaissance as a method of organizing forms in spac
 e. It creates depth and the illusion of 3-dimension on a 2-dimension surfa
 ce. Its use creates a believable representation. This workshop focuses on 
 that representational classical tradition through the use of perspective\,
  proportion\, and foreshortening. Through drawing natural objects in black
  on white\, you will define their value gradations from lights to darks id
 entifying form and true perspective. You will learn the visual elements of
  line and texture to create your final drawing. Reference material handout
 s will be provided and the instructor will offer demonstrations and indivi
 dual guidance. There will be open discussions and dialogue. Questions and 
 answers are welcome as you participate in open critiques. Most supplies ar
 e provided by the instructor\, but students are encouraged to bring any na
 tural objects you wish to draw and any graphite pencils you already have.<
