Shop in th e holiday boutique\, stroll Santa Claus Lane\, and enjoy live entertainmen t. The museum’s galleries will also be open to view permanent collections in addition to new exhibits\, such as Floridiana: Vintage Treasures & Oddi ties from the Sunshine State and The Wild Path: Connecting the Florida We Don’t See. Your guide\, curator Ruth Grim\, will provide commentary and in formative videos during the bus ride. Lunch will be available at the Festi val Café\, installed in the museum for this event.\n\nIn Floridiana\, we c an see more than 130 objects from the collection of Gary Monroe. These mid -century souvenirs\, hotel ashtrays\, rubber alligators\, roadside attract ion brochures — often decorative\, utilitarian\, or absurd — offer an unfi ltered glimpse into a time when the state’s identity was shaped by tourism and fantasy.\n\nWild Path features 70 works by National Geographic conser vation photographer Carlton Ward Jr.\, who founded the Florida Wildlife Co rridor project. Since 2010\, he has since trekked 2\,000 miles during two National Geographic supported expeditions to advocate for the corridor’s p rotection and the recovery of the Florida panther.\n\nOur chartered bus wi ll depart from OMAM promptly at 9:30am and will return back by 4:30pm. The non-refundable trip registration fee ($60 OMAM members\; $70 future membe rs) covers transportation and Ruth's discussions. Participants are respons ible for paying for their own admission\, meals\, and other expenses.
