Your gui de\, curator Ruth Grim\, will provide commentary and informative videos du ring the bus ride. In addition to experiencing TMA's many art installation s\, our group has the opportunity to take a docent-led tour and to enjoy l unch at one of the many nearby restaurants. Participants also may opt to b ring their own lunch and enjoy the spaces surrounding the museum. \n\nTMA has been a cultural mainstay on the Gulf coast for 100 years and has recen tly mounted an exciting group of exhibitions in celebration of their cente nnial. Some of these include Mysteries of the Nile: Ancient Egypt\, Avant Garde: Remarkable Women in the Collection\, The Etruscans: A Mysterious It alian People\, and Life & Death in the Ancient World. Complete with extens ive and informative labels and texts\, these exhibitions provide a rare op portunity to experience and learn about ancient art in a Florida museum.\n \nOur chartered bus will depart from OMAM promptly at 8:00am and will retu rn back by 6:30pm. The non-refundable trip registration fee ($75 OMAM memb ers\; $85 future members) covers transportation and Ruth's discussions. Pa rticipants are responsible for paying for their own admission\, tours\, me als\, and other expenses. Since the Tampa Museum of Art is part of the Nor th American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association\, our museum's premier-le vel members are able show their current OMAM Membership Card and receive f ree admission. Those without NARM benefits will need to pay admission upon arrival ($25 for adults\; $15 for seniors).\n\n
