 is workshop encourages you to take a closer look at yourself while drawing
  your portrait as it appears on screen. Instruction will focus on renderin
 g as it pertains to self-portraiture. An emphasis will be placed on elemen
 ts of design including perspective\, composition\, line quality\, value & 
 lighting\, as well as proportion & scale. The self-portraits generated dur
 ing the workshop will be gathered digitally after and formed into one coll
 aborative grid piece\, a drawn “Gallery View” of our session. This worksho
 p is open to participants 16 & older with some drawing experience. All sup
 plies are provided in a kit that you can pick-up prior to class.\n\n<b>COS
 T:</b> $39 museum members / $43 future members\n\n<b>NOTE FOR OUT OF TOWN 
 STUDENTS:</b> A detailed supply list is available for out of town registra
 nts or those who want to provide their own supplies. No supply kit shippin
 g available.\n\n<h4>ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR</h4>\n\n<em>An encaustic painter 
 by practice\, <b>Kathleen Marquis</b> is passionate about art and uses her
  enthusiasm for art to inspire and guide students in their own works. In t
 eaching art\, she hopes to add a little happiness into the lives of those 
 who she comes in contact with (whether be it in person or online). As for 
 her credentials\, Kathleen received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Mixe
 d Media with a minor in Art History from Florida International University 
 in Miami\, Florida\, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Draw
 ing from Pratt Institute located in Brooklyn\, New York. She currently liv
 es and works in Ormond Beach\, Florida\, and has been teaching art and des
 ign for several years now.</em>
