First Saturday Ormond Art Walk: Cherree Mallette
Work by Cherree Mallette will be on display and for sale inside our reception gallery during the April 4th First Saturday Ormond Art Walk. The artist will give a free talk at 5:00pm that explains how her artwork expresses, through visual storytelling, the healing energy of water.
“We transmit vibrations in sound through the words we speak. The movements of our actions radiate frequencies and tones, which the element of water responds to fluidly.”
The unique aspect of her work lies in its photographic realism, centered on mastering the transparency of water using oil paint on paper. Her method, painstakingly developed over time, lends her art a singular quality that blurs the line between painted creation and captured reality.
Admission to Art Walk is always FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all stops. Beer and wine will be available for purchase inside the museum.
