The Museum offers many educational programs and opportunities to learn more about the Arts.  There are adult and children's classes held at the Museum on a regular basis. Community Outreach programs take art into the community. Gallery talks and lectures bring professional artists to the Museum to discuss their particular specialties or arts in general. Day trips to other artistic venues are available to broaden one's scope of art in Central Florida.  The Museum Travel Group expands the artistic horizon to the world beyond Central Florida.

The ArtReach Summer Art Camp for children entering Grades 1 through 6 is a four-week introduction to various art forms including two- and three-dimensional media, mixed-media and theater arts.  The Gardens are used to introduce students to land, sea and city from an artist's perspective.  ArtReach Summer Art Camp is capped with a reception for the artists and their families.  Each student will have at least one work exhibited during the exhibition, Art in the Atrium, at Ormond Beach City Hall.  Visit the ArtReach Summer Art Camp page for details.

A budding young artist, Melissa Bell, developed a life-threatening leukemia.  She underwent extensive treatment and still was able to graduate Seabreeze High School Summa Cum Laude.  Melissa's experiences in fighting her disease led her to pursue a University of Central Florida Art Therapy BA degree.  In 2005 OMAM awarded our Art Museum Scholarship to Melissa.  Please take time to read about Melissa's extraordinary journey.

Use the links above to find current educational offerings, print a class or events schedule, or contact the Museum directly at (386) 676-3347 for more information.

Museum members are afforded discounts to most educational programs and are eligible to participate in the day trips and the Museum Travel Group. Become a Museum member to save on these programs and support OMAM as well as the local arts community.
