Art Class Photo Gallery
The Museum offers quality art education and instruction for adults and
children. Curated by Barbara Saunders, and taught by Barbara, Linda King,
and guest artists, the following are just some of the
regularly scheduled arts education programs offered by OMAM. Use the
Class Schedule page to view the current class
offerings.
- Children in grades one through six enjoy "ArtReach
Summer Art Camp", the summer arts and enrichment camp. Check out the
ArtReach Summer Art Camp Photo Gallery
to see what camp is like
- Saturday classes for adults are on the schedule, too
(see photos below)
- The "Art Encounters" program features
gallery talks and
demonstrations by artists and art collectors
- The Museum also hosts programs in conjunction with the
Volusia
County ECHO Rangers program for children in grades two through five.
Scholarships to weekend classes and the ArtReach Summer Art Camp are available on an "as needed"
basis. Contact the Museum at (386) 676-3347 or

Art in a (Shadow) box
On February 24, 2005, instructor Regina Stengel,
assisted by Barbara Saunders, taught a class in which students created an artist-inspired
shadowbox comprising a collage backdrop and their own collage/collectible
materials. Regina's expertise in framing techniques was put to good use.
The following are photos of a work in progress and two finished shadow boxes.

Natural materials on a monochromatic, textured paper background plus a little sand make this collage a serene reminder of a day at the beach.
