Tradewinds 2006

The Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens (OMAM) will present an exhibition of Seabreeze High School student art for one week only, running Monday, May 8th through Sunday May 14th.  The student work was created under the supervision of Seabreeze instructors Nina Masters, Lisa Botkin and John Richmond. The Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens has offered a museum showcase for selected student work for over 10 years.

"The museum is very excited about Tradewinds. We always enjoy sharing with the community the superb quality of work being generated at Seabreeze High School. They have consistently produced a remarkable array of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art which is well beyond anyone's expectations for such young, emerging artists", said OMAM Executive Director, Ann Burt.

For further information on this show or the upcoming May 19 - July 20th exhibition, "Object Lessons", featuring the work of four south Florida artists; Ellen E. Fisher, Rene Guerin, Janvier Miller, and Sean Sexton, please contact the museum at 386-676-3347.

Please join us for a private preview reception for Museum members, the artists, and their guests, on Friday, May 8, 2006, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

The Museum staff is happy to accommodate media outlets by arranging artist/curator interviews or photo, film, and video shoot schedules with advance notice. Contact Museum Director, Ann Burt, or Curator of Education and Special Events, Barbara Saunders, at (386) 676-3347 for more information.

Museum hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Seniors (60+), students and children are admitted to the Museum free of charge every day; a $2 donation is suggested for adult visitors.

The Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens is located at 78 E. Granada Boulevard (SR 40), Ormond Beach, beachside, on the southeast corner of Granada Boulevard and Halifax Avenue. Phone (386) 676-3347 for details and information.
