The Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens Labyrinth was created by local artists, Joan Baliker and Carol Bertrand. The following is their statement.

“Your Personal Labyrinth”

Someone once said, “Life is like a circle. Find the center, and the circumference will take care of itself.”

The labyrinth can be used as a symbol of our journey through life, circular, but winding itself in every direction until we find our center. Ideally, we stop and reflect there, asking for guidance from the highest, most noble part of ourselves before continuing our journey. Something mysterious occurs when we ask to see things differently. These insights appear, benefiting everyone and a peaceful feeling is reflected into our world.

Before beginning your walk in the labyrinth, let go of all the old ways you have used to solve your challenges. Then proceed slowly and trace your path to the center. When you leave the center, you find yourself breathing easier and more at ease, knowing there is an answer to everything.

Blessings

Joan & Carol
