ArtReach Summer Camp 2005 Week 1 comprised classes in all painting media on a variety of surfaces. Plein air, figure and still life painting allowed the students to focus on styles from abstract to realism. Week 2 focused on the original production, "Wrongway Waldo and His Search for the New World" including set, costume and stage production art. Week 3 was "Christo1 for Kids." Activities included celebrating art in the environment and the environment in art. Outdoor art creations were temporarily erected in the Ormond Memorial Gardens for public view, even though the weather presented a problem. This year's ArtReach Photo Gallery focuses on "Christo for Kids." Week 4 involved movement and speed: boats, planes, trains, and automobile art activities. Students created a race team, logo, t-shirt and backpack. ArtReach 2005 Photo Gallery 1 Christo is the artist known
for "The Gates" exhibit in New York City's Central Park and many other
environmentally related outdoor works. None of his works were permanent
installations.
